Because we must remember his face, and never let Charlie's enemies forget it.

Gone too soon…holy shit I am so sad— my heart fuck. But I don't think that Charlie Kirk would want us to be sad, he would tell us to smile. I will be honest the happy party-time shit happening at his memorial with his widow snuggling up on dudes was a little classless; nevertheless, Charlie would want us be happy now.

When I think about the statute of limitations on when stuff gets to enter the Overton Window what first comes to mind is that one war where all those people died but we now tell jokes about it because it has been so long and we kinda just need to cope with the darker side of the human condition in a ironically pro-social way by you know making fun of death. I read an article about how it's healthy to make fun of tragic situations because humor is an innate and healthy coping mechanism. Like come on, it's "making" "fun" how could that be bad? When life gives you lemons you make lemonade. When your childhood hero is assassinated you kirkify him onto memes.

When Erica Kirk said we need to stop posting kirkify memes and videos, Instagram turned the Kirkified GIFs off, and all this other anti-kirkify stuff started happening it really grinded my gears. I was like "OH MY GOD THESE PEOPLE JUST DON'T GET IT!" but also it led me to think hard and I had a realization.

When we make images with Charlie Kirk's face people find it funny because there is a certain transgressive nature to making deepfakes of recently assassinated political leaders, but there is a deeper level of internet lionization that makes his legacy infinitely stronger because he is now a monument of the attention economy. Billions of people will see his face now and again because of a meme, and on some level they will be reminded of what he stood for. His principles will be in the minds of the masses. Thoughts. With every kirkified meme Charlie Kirk's spirit is immortalized in the hearts and souls of America and the World. And when we carry his spirit within our hearts, we can become more like him.
